A New Chapter Begins: Brand-New PokerStars Open Kicks Off in Campione With Day 1a of Main Event

A new era of PokerStars events has arrived as Day 1a of the PokerStars Open (PSO) Campione seven-figure guaranteed €1,100 Main Event will get going at Casinò di Campione at 1 p.m. local time, marking the return of a PokerStars event in Italy after a six-year break.
The PokerStars Open is a new tournament series for 2025, replacing the previous regional tours of PokerStars, such as Estrellas and Eureka. Much will remain the same, with a well-structured €1,100 Main Event highlighting each stop, but the new tour provides a €1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool for its Main Events, enticing poker players across the continent to join the battle for large sums of cash.
PSO Campione also marks the debut of the new PokerStars Live League, an exciting addition to the 2025 European schedule. This leaderboard feature allows players to earn points across three different tiers based on event buy-ins at European PokerStars tournaments throughout the year, with Campione serving as the first opportunity to accumulate points. Over €150,000 in buy-ins are up for grabs in the PokerStars League, as well as the opportunity to become the newest member of PokerStars Team Pro.

Day 1a is the first of four starting flights of the PSO Campione Main Event, with two taking place each day, one at 1 p.m. and one at 7 p.m. The coverage will focus on the flights that start during the day, but the chip counts of the fast-paced evening flights will also be posted at the end of the day. Each Day 1 plays ten levels, with late registration remaining open until the start of Level 13 on Day 2, at which point a starting stack will be worth 20 big blinds.
Day 1a has levels of 60 minutes, and each player starts with 30,000 chips. The blinds start at 100/100 (100), providing a very deep stack for those who register on time. A break is scheduled after every two levels, with a dinner break of 75 minutes after Level 6, around 7:40 p.m. local time.
