The GGPoker WSOP Bracelet Series is Underway With Event #32: $100 The Opener, 2M Gtd.
It's 2020, so nothing is the way it used to be, but the GGPoker World Series of Poker (WSOP) is still on! In keeping with the year's theme of no live poker, the global WSOP bracelet series kicks off today on GGPoker with the first of 54 chances to win a coveted WSOP bracelet.
The opening day features three chances to win a bracelet including a charity event, Every 1 for Covid Relief, and a turbo event. First up though is the final day of Event #32: $100 The Opener.
More than 29K entries have been recorded in one of the Day 1 flights so far, smashing the $2,000,000 guarantee. The final Day 1, Flight H, is still underway with registration just ending, leaving a total of 29,306 entries during the Day 1 phase of The Opener. As it currently stands, there are already nearly 3,500 players with a seat in today's Final Day, and more than 3,000 of them will get paid.
"TheCatalan" from Andorra is currently sitting with the biggest stack going into Day 2, bagging more than 1.6 million chips during Day 1. Other notable players with a Day 2 stack include "Dan.Almeida", "icho", Felipe Ramos, "Egption", and "Ilya_Trifanov" among others.
Action for the Final Day of The Opener gets underway at 2:30pm Eastern time, and PokerNews will be walking the virtual floor all day to bring you the action. They'll play down to a winner before the end today, so before the day is through, the first GGPoker WSOP bracelet of 2020 will be awarded!
