Triple d��tenteur du prix de Joueur de l'Ann��e du circuit WPT, Anthony Zinno a aussi gagn�� ses deux premiers bracelets WSOP en variantes. Il avait remport�� l'Event #60 PLO High Roller �� 25 000$ en 2015 (pour 1,1 million de dollars) et l'Event #60 PLO8 de l'��dition 2019 pour 279 920$.
"C'est irr��el, je n'ai travaill�� le Stud que r��cemment et il y avait les meilleurs du monde dans cette discipline dans ce tournoi. C'est un honneur. Je pourrais jouer toute ma vie et ne pas regagner un autre bracelet en Stud, ces mecs sont tellement bons, honn��tement je reste �� des ann��es lumi��res des meilleurs dans cette variante", a humblement d��clar�� le champion apr��s son succ��s.
Deux membres du Poker Hall Of Fame ��taient en course �� l'entame de la finale et l'ancien TD des WSOP Jack McClelland a ��t�� le premier �� rendre les armes, apr��s une grosse r��sistance (5e). Jason Gola (6e) et Stephen Chidwick (6e) ont tenu moins longtemps. Il a ainsi fallu un amoureux des variantes pour aller au bout et ne pas craquer face �� James Chen. Distanc�� au d��but du head's up, il avait trois fois moins de jetons, Chen est bri��vement repass�� devant sans parvenir �� conclure...
"Je sais que j'ai encore beaucoup de faiblesses mais je travaille dans tous les jeux et je m'am��liore, c'est ce qui est important", a ajout�� Zinno. Sp��cialiste du Omaha, il tenait �� rendre hommage �� sa famille.
"Je t'aime maman, je t'aime Laura (sa soeur) [...] Quand j'ai d��cid�� de me consacrer au poker �� la fin de mon ��cole de droit, elles ont ��t�� mes premi��res supportrices, je n'oublie pas. Il est vraiment sous-cot�� par la communaut��, ils ne savent pas ce que c'est de jouer et d'��tre l��, sur une table de short-handed avec Phil Hellmuth. Son jeu est travaill��... Jouer avec lui c'est un honneur, il est au Hall Of Fame, bon il est devenu fou quand j'ai touch�� (une couleur de l'espace, ndlr) mais j'adore le personnage. Cela m'a donn�� de la motivation en plus", a termin�� Zinno �� propos de son prestigieux adversaire.
