Le Canadien Mike Leah a tr��s bien d��but�� la finale en se chargeant de Paul Volpe mais il a fait instantan��ment doubler Xavier Kyablue. Ce dernier l'a ensuite ex��cut�� pour s'emparer bri��vement du chiplead. Monnette a repris le contr?le en sortant Mike Gorodinsky avant d'attraper Kyablue en bluff.
Le plan �� 3 a dur�� avant qu'Elias ne perde quelques pots contre le futur vainqueur. "Il y avait de gros adversaires. Paul (Volpe, ndlr) qui a d��j�� gagn�� ce tournoi, a saut�� tout de suite et c'��tait une bonne chose. Puis il y avait Darren, qui joue tellement bien �� ce jeu, �� ma gauche. Quand je l'ai sorti c'��tait un gros soulagement car il joue dur et ��tre hors de position contre un joueur de ce calibre vous propulse dans de nombreux spots bizarres", a indiqu�� le vainqueur qui a commenc�� le head's up en position de force.
Le Su��dois Hildebrand a bien doubl�� deux fois mais il n'a rien pu faire. "C'est mon premier bracelet avec ma femme. Elle est g��niale. Tous mes bracelets sont sp��ciaux mais c'��tait super cool qu'elle soit l��. C'est ma premi��re supportrice, elle est toujours l�� pour moi alors qu'il y a des moments parfois difficiles. Elle doit composer avec mes absences et mes 13 heures de jeu et les fois o�� je rentre en col��re �� la maison. Other than a few walks and some raise-and-takes, this heads-up battle has been all John Monnette. Monnette has won the last four pots.

In the final hand of the run, Monnette opened to 95,000, and Hildebrand defended. Both drew one, and Hildebrand check-called a bet of 125,000. Monnette tabled a nine-eight, and Hildebrand mucked.
