We are officially entering the 4th week of the World Series of Poker and the action just keeps coming.
Only one champion emerged yesterday, late in the evening in Event #37: $800 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack It took three days for a field of 2,808 to be whittled down to one, and in the end, it was Salt Lake's Robert Mitchell who captured his first ever WSOP gold bracelet. Mitchell will take home just shy of 300K for his 3 days of work.

There is one last chance for the 60 plus crowd to capture a bracelet in a non-open event and there are only 111 players still in contention for that piece of jewelry and about three hundred and sixty k. Both Allyn and Barry Shulman are still in the mix as is Texan Larry Wright.

The first ten levels are in the books for Event #43: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet, and when the dust settled, only 52 players bagged their advancing stacks. Less than a quarter of the 218-entry field navigated through the intense action which saw big bets being splashed right from the early moments. Jared Bleznick was among the players who thrived for virtually the whole ten-hour span today. Brandon Shack-Harris and Chris Ferguson are also among the players returning with healthy stacks today.

Event 44: the 1500 no limit bounty is no doubt a favorite of the players the rules are fairly simple; if you knock someone out, a $500 bounty awaits you. There are already fifteen hundred entries and with registration open until level nine, this is sure to be a big one.

One of the bigger buy ins of the summer is also kicking off today in the form of a 25k pot limit Omaha. Last year it was Shaun Deeb that took down this one and his 3rd of 4 total bracelets. This is going to be one to watch and we will be there every step of the way with all the live reporting on pokernews.com.
